What is Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT)? Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) is the gold standard treatment for lymphedema, designed to reduce swelling, improve lymphatic flow, and prevent progression of the condition. This is not a massage, it’s a clinically guided treatment performed by a Registered Nurse and Certified Lymphedema Therapist. What’s Included in Your CDT Session? Each session is customized based on your condition and may include: Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Compression Bandaging Skin Care & Infection Prevention Therapeutic Movement Guidance (not the same as physical therapy) Ongoing Assessment & Progress Tracking What CDT Helps With: Lymphedema (primary & secondary) Chronic swelling (arms, legs, abdomen) Post-surgical swelling (in certain cases) Fibrosis (hardened tissue) Discomfort, heaviness, and reduced mobility What to Expect During Your Session: Gentle, rhythmic techniques (not deep pressure) Focus on clearing lymphatic pathways first Step-by-step fluid movement out of affected areas Compression applied after treatment (if indicated) Most clients require multiple sessions per week initially for best results. CDT is performed in phases: Phase 1: Reduction 2–5 sessions per week Focus: Reduce swelling and soften tissue Phase 2: Maintenance 1–2 sessions per week or as needed Focus: Maintain results and prevent flare-ups Who Should NOT Receive CDT? Cancellation Policy

At True Life Medical, we value your time and are committed to providing a smooth scheduling experience. Please review our booking policy below: Booking Requirements: All services (coaching, wellness sessions, assessments, and programs) must be booked in advance through our official scheduling system or by contacting our office. A valid phone number and email are required at the time of booking. Full payment or deposit may be required to secure your appointment, depending on the service. Confirmation & Reminders You will receive a confirmation email or text after booking. Appointment reminders are sent 24–48 hours prior to your scheduled session. Please ensure your contact information is accurate to receive updates. Arrival & Attendance In-person clients are expected to arrive 5–10 minutes early. Virtual clients should log in on time with a stable internet connection and a quiet environment. Late arrivals beyond 10 minutes may result in session forfeiture. Changes & Rescheduling You may reschedule or cancel your appointment with at least 24 hours’ notice. Changes must be made through the booking system or by contacting our office directly. Late cancellations and no-shows will be subject to our No Refund Policy and will not be eligible for rescheduling or credit. Emergency Rescheduling We understand that emergencies happen. If you are unable to attend due to an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible. One courtesy reschedule may be granted at our discretion.
